So at work and I decided to listen to Pandora instead of my usual alternative radio.

And then Seether comes along with a cover of this song, and I was blown away. Seriously.



This is from their latest album Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces. I thought I had this entire album downloaded off a discography but apparently I don't since it's my first hearing this song.

So just throwing out a few things that have come across my way recently.

1) I miss this sort of traditional animation. I watched Bedknobs and Broomsticks way back when I was a kid, but the only thing I could remember was some lion playing soccer. Apparently this movie is one of those flicks that switches from people in and out of animated scenes with real life actors so there are a good number of animated scenes to be had.

Day 1: Shopping around for a new DVD/Book shelf to make room and clean up... nothing to be found... Oh this glass shelf would be nice to display my dragon figures and more... and this bookshelf is a bit -too- roomy but I guess it'll do. Oh hey, here's a DVD shelf... though it sounds pretty small... I'll buy two, if I like how the first one builds I'll keep the second one. Can't be that bad. *Makes purchases*

Goes home and assembles 1st DVD shelf... wow it's pretty small than I imagined. Well I built it, I guess I'll stick with it and return the second one.

Day 2: Goes to Ikea to return the shelf... damn I can't find my receipt. "I can't find my receipt and I just bought this yesterday, was an extra purchase by mistake. Can I get a refund?" NO! Sigh, I'll go home and look for the receipt.

Day 3: Goes home, can't find --> anywhere <-- Starts to assemble the glass shelf... Wait what? It's just the frame? No glass? ... Wait these other two boxes aren't extensions for the shelves, just more base sets!? Ugh... another trip to the store.

Day 4: Second trip to store still no receipt. Waited a long time in the refund line, twice. CSR and Returns Manager would not accept unopened items without a receipt, nor would look at my debit card statement or look up any information. *furious*

Later that week, mom just happens to find my receipt. Where was it? It was in the back pocket of my pants which I -never- put stuff in... except that one time apparently -____-;

Day 5 (today): Go back to the store with receipt and all items. Refund success! Now to go to the isle and purchase the proper extensions and glass   .    .   .   . You have got to be shitting me. They are out of stock!? Asking CSR for help... no help.

1) At the Smash Bros tournament, three of us bust out the Lightsaber app on our iphones and start swinging at each other.

2) After the tournament was over four of us are driving down to get some food at Rice Bowl. All of a sudden 'What Is Love' starts playing and we all bop our heads to the beat.

So me and kitelessd  where on our way to ihop for breakfast when we come across this crazy ass car of awesome!

Over the weekend Syrus was showing a few tell tale signs of an irritated ear. He was scratching at his ear (strike one) which I thought he was getting off an ich but he didn't scratch anywhere else. He shook his head a bit more often than usual (strike two), and taking a sniff of both ears one of them did have an odor (strike three). The next day while at work I called the vet for the latest appointment that day to take him in. Getting the latest possible I asked my boss for an early leave (just an hour off) since I needed to take my dog to the vet. He acted like he didn't find anything urgent with my dog needing to go to the vet (which ticked me off) but I guess I was graced by his kindness to go early.

Off to the vet we went to get this mess sorted out. Everything else checked out just fine with Syrus, save for the ear that I suspected with the infection. Last month I took him in for his yearly and he checked out fine including his ears, so it did come across a bit odd that the previous vet didn't catch a developing infection but I guess there was enough window for it to grow or something. Anyways she took a sample did confirm the infection, and gave a cleaning kit and medicine drops to clear it up. Syrus has a follow up appointment within two weeks, he's already started to shake his head less so that's a good sign, and he'll be on the drops till the next appointmen so hopefully he'll check out fine.
