Just making a quick post about this. I've been thinking of commissioning a wallpaper or two for my laptop and PS3, both wide screen dimensions of 1024 x 768 (I think that's right). As things were, I wanted to hear if anyone has any ideas or artists in mind.

For my laptop I want to have a wallpaper of myself and Charizard together. (BIG surprise I know :p) I'm not looking for anything extreme or explicit either, or something... kinda cute I guess, would be best to describe. Something simple yet fresh and knew that puts a smile on ;] I have an idea or two, but I want to see if anyone else can think of anything. You people know my fair enough, so if you can think of a nice match up between me and Charizard that you would like to see or think that would look perfect let me know ;] As far as an artist, I have one in mind already to work on this commission, but pending if I like another person's idea I'll hit some research on others.

As for the PS3, this one I want to be a challenge. Since the PS3 makes art pieces look incredible on a HD screen, I wanna blow this one up to be astounding. Currently I have this piece as my wallpaper and it looks hauntingly beautiful. Moving on, I want to place the next piece of my dragon in an environment like this, and make things look really out there. I have an artist or so in mind for this project though I need to see if she's available, and at the same time find other artists of high calibur that would like to take up such a thing. So if anyone has any ideas as far as using that background, or an artist in mind, let me know ;]

Friday I saw the Star Wars Holiday Special on Riif Trax.... it was MAGICAL!

You just can't describe the magic that goes on during the whole thing. You need to see it for yourself.

So for awhile I've been on a bit of a music hit and I wanted spread my mind on some more music. I've been listening to this album quite awhile of 30 Seconds to Mars. I have both of their current albums and each album has it's own style. In this self-titled album, they have this awesome alternative rock that has some fierce fire, fierce ice, and a mix of (and no better way for me to think of describing it) psychedelic electronic touches.

Their second album I really like, though the style change is obvious and more mainstream (one would say "emo" as well but that's such a bad and misused word in today :P ) which I don't mind. There is more emotion and such in these songs, and some have more fire which is also great. But here, I'll provide a video or two of these guys:

Well since then I've been curious as to what other artists would ring similar to 30 Seconds to Mars. Granted I've listened to alternative rock radio stations now and again and I've made a list of what songs I liked and what bands I need to research and listen more too ya know. Well I went to Yahoo Music and used their feature of "Similar Artists" and it rang up a number of artists who I was originally curious about. On a similar note, I was directed to SIXX AM, and here's a video to go along with it:


Further on is this video from the Foo Fighters. It's craaazy awesome:


That is one thing the Foo Fighters know how to do. Make songs that are just a complete giant rush.

Well to end things, I'd like to hear from you guys. Since being on this music kick I want to keep it up and grab me some albums. I am really keen in looking for artists that have a similar sound to 30 Seconds to Mar's Buddha for Mary and Oblivion. Later on I'll want to grab other artists from the music I just shared with you guys. Toss me some mainstream and some underground guys, and even if they aren't similar to these named artists but you think I might like them, toss them any how.

Nothing new and crazy lately. I took little Syrus to the vet today for his annul check up. Aside from him being a little chubby he's got a clean bill of health which I am very happy to hear. I'm glad to know my family takes good care of him, they just need to walk him a bit more often ;p I got my tax refund, hurray. I'll have my laptop paid off and if there is any left, I'll either toss it for AC or just bills n such, though I will give myself a small treat at the least. The family is doing well, and my sister has done some amazing art that she has shown me, all from her first art class. I think I may want to hit up this art class next semester, just need to sign up for this college.

And by the way, just wanna say thanks to you guys giving me support. I know I haven't been myself all too late but things will come around, so thanks.

Stuff like this is just COMPLETELY HEART BREAKING For me anyways

So young and hurt, yet so amazingly spirited. It's these kind of things that just make me look at huskies (and dogs in general) and just simply melts my heart that they still have the will to live despite how terrible they have it. Now if only humans can be the same.

This poor thing. I really wish I had all the damn time possible enough money possible to save these poor things. Though I don't have any direct connection with this pup, it hurts me so much to see something like this happen to a husky, and irks me greatly and things like this happen to such good dogs.

Gone in Fresno for the weekend with my good buddies. Wanted to throw out a quick question before I become unreachable for the weekend. Yeah forgot to pack my phone charger and the battery is nearly dead. *head to desk*

Anyways I think I'm going to host the next party this next weekend, and of course it will be a Smash Brawl party as highly expected. That said though, I want to know what other party food choices people can recommend or would like to see. I mean pizza is good and all for a large group, but I don't want to serve pizza at every party ya know. Anyways comment away, and hope everyone has a good weekend.

Been awhile since I posted any little Syrus pics. Not much but here's the silly little puppybutt.

With Smash Bros Brawl coming up this weekend I thought I'd post my pictures of the past tournament I went to. It was held inside a club and sponsered by Best Buy. It was crazy and we had to get there a few hours early since only the first 256 people were allowed in the tournament. Made and got knocked out on the 2nd round, was a very tough fight though. This Saturday I'll be hitting the Gamestop tournament for Brawl just for fun. Going to be very lame and stupid having us use the Wiimotes as controllers for a fighting game but not much you can do :p It'll give me something to do while I wait to pick up my copy at the midnight release of the game :D

So last weekend was pretty mellow and relaxing. Saturday I went down to Santa Cruz with basilbadger and krominof, mainly hitting the boardwalk, arcade, and a few shops in the downtown. The thing that I like about the Boardwalk is that it never changes. Visited the place was fun because just about everything a nice retro 80s feel to it. The art, the music (though there was some modern day music), even a lot of the games in the arcade were retro, was awesome. Not to mention it is simply cool to have a carnival like amusement boardwalk right next to the beach, and Santa Cruz just has a nice spirited feeling to it. Anyways, on to the pictures behind the cut...

Well gotta say this weekend turned out to be great! Sage and Tenebris were out on vacation hitting the east coast so me and Hunter had the place to ourselves. This week was a party week, so I took it up to host the party. I was a little skeptical if anyone was going to show up since Sage wasn't hosting aside from the small handful of party regulars, but the turn out was bigger than expected and great. Hunter helped in setting up the place, I got the music ready and set it to a nice alternative rock station that was playing a nice variety of music. Got the lights set up, entertainment station ready, all systems go.

Furs came in and brought in some food to help out which was great, as I didn't have enough cash on hand to order more food that I wanted for the party doing it on the fly. They also complimented how they liked that they weren't shouting over the music like previous parties, and how the music was this weird zany mixes that Sage has. Maybe for future parties I'll take over the music department :p Aside from that, I got to embarrass basilbadger for his birthday by announcing it to everyone. There after we got the good stuff going and set up Smash Bros Brawl. Had lots of fun with it naturally, so great to be Pokemon Trainer and play as Charizard ;] The party held up to like 4 AM and a little after.

Woke up early as there was a Smash Bros Brawl tournament being held in the city sponsored by Best Buy. Few of us went to compete and it was a ton of waiting but worth it for the fun. The three of us got knocked out on the 2nd round but we all put up one hell of a fight. Fun stuff. Of course we got tiny prizes just for competing. After that I joined up with some of the guys over at Guppy's place for his birthday, then crashed with Basil for the night. Was pretty drained after all that craziness, but all fun indeed.

Gotta say I would like to put more money to these parties, as in getting actually bedding for our guests, good party music, lights, etc. Maybe that will come when I settle in to a more permanent place ;]

Hmm, whole lot of nothing, whole lot of thinking. We'll be having our bi-weekly party this week, though since Sage will be out of town me and gryphon will be hosting it this time. Eew I have to chunk out money for food :p Funny thing is, even when there is no party announced we still have a few regulars show up any how. So there's that. Talked to mom and she said little Syrus was so tired out from the walk, he mostly lazed out in bed. Wish I was with him to hug and cuddle him while he laid in bed. I miss having him so.

Anyways. Guess I'm just posting for the sake of posting and updating. There are things a plenty on my mind, but as normal, I'm too chicken to talk about it :p It really is one of those things where I don't have many to talk to, if anyone at all. But oh well. Time will help me figure things out I suppose ya know. Anyways, I leave you with this:

Well this looks to be cute. While Pixar is working on Wall-E, Disney has gone on their own project called Bolt featuring a white German shepherd puppy. He's so cute~

Another is this. Academy Award-Winning movie Crash is going to have their own mini-series. This is pretty cool news as it opens up several of windows. For one Crash had a nice variety of characters and stories that weaved in an out of each other, so the potential of great story telling is very much there. The movie was a strong so seeing the drama that unravels between the characters should be something very interesting. The only unfortunate thing is that it is going to air on Starz which we don't have :p Guess I'll have to torrent it.

And lastly, this is why you don't get your dog take out in the car ;]

1. At our party this past Friday we got to play Smash Bros. Brawl. Playing as the Pokemon Trainer was the best and I got to fight as Charizard :D!!!!! So awesome and sexy!
2. Me and hgryphon took on the big Rock Band Challenge and we did the Endless Setlist, which was composed of all 58 songs that came on the game disc. We beat it! Our reward was a bunch of money and Gold Medals on our names proving that we are Rock n' Roll stars! :D (my hands are aching and hurt!)

X-Posting this from javachickn's LJ. A number of malamute/wolf mixes are in danger of being euthanized. Spread the word best you can, these pups need a foster home! I want to try my very best to see if it is at all possible to take in one of these amazing creatures. If so chances are I'll be staying with my parent's for awhile, but I hate to see such amazing dogs go out. It's a stretch but I have a strong urge to contribute to finding these pups good homes.
